Inspired by countless wonders, some things that move me are...Remote Residencies & Rural Retreats (I go on silent soujourns)
Institute of Life Wonderful, Annaghmaconway, Ireland, June 2009.
The Booth, Scalloway, Shetland, February 2009.
Braich Melyn, Gwynedd, North Wales, April 2008.
Beech Cottage, Golden Cap nr Bridport, Dorset, January 2007.
Deuchar Mill, Yarrow, Scotland, April 2006.
Other inspirations include...the titles of Tenessee Williams plays (but not the content), long distance train expeditions, typing letters, swing dancing, circular libraries, hazlenut topped porridge, brisk bicycle rides, the impact of red lipstick, the sound of rain on skylights, Fletcher Moss park in the Autumn, Mock turtle cream teas, well-worn brouges, hot tea on windy days, sea swimming/lilo bobbing, Fred Astaire films, being read aloud to, the smell of leather rubbed on birch trees, kissing out of doors, the left hand side 2nd from front row seat in cinema 2, pressing cat's noses, loyal friends, medicinal tea, thick crust bread, long goodbyes, H-vans.
